Limits. The point, edge, or line beyond which something cannot pass. This relates to the constitution because each branch of the constitution has its limits. The executive, legislative, judicial branch each have their limits to the others. For example the executive branch can veto a legislative bill, the legislative branch impeach presidents, and the judicial branch can declare acts of both the president and congress unconstitutional.

The US has limited war after the constitution because the constitution made the nation stronger. There has been less war after the constitution was made. The war between Britain and USA was before the constitution and after the constitution there were less wars involving the USA. Now days there are more wars but there was a pause or a limit of wars for a while.
