Pain in the Constitution

The definition of the word, "pain," is a symptom of some physical hurt or disorder." The word represents the Constitution in a variety of ways. The framers' pain at the hands of England and Shays' Rebellion helped to form the Constitution. People of color, young people, and women were a few of the many groups who endured pain in trying to recognize their dreams.

This picture represents "pain" and the Constitution in a couple of ways. The first is that there is much hurt in the formation of our nation. Slavery, discrimination, and the denial of rights hurts and causes pain. The Constitution hopes to be a "band- aid" for this pain.

Constitution Quote: "From Watergate we learned what generations before us had known; Our Constitution works. And during Watergate years, it was interpreted again so as to reaffirm that no one- absolutely no one- is above the law."- L. Jaworski
